A turnover of 80 million, 1,600 commercialised products, around 500 recipes and 200 million units produced. Formec Biffi ends 2014 with positive performances despite the crisis and presents its own strategies and innovations in the world of condiments.
As market leader in the production of private label sauces, the San Rocco al Porto-based company counts nearly all of the Italian retailers (98%) among its partners. A turnover that represents 48% of its total turnover and despite the consumer crisis has remained stable, reconfirming the company’s position within the market, thanks to a strategy that is aimed more and more at increasing the offering available to Italian supermarket chains with the quality of premium product ranges and “100% vegetable” products.
“Among the new ‘creations’ of the Biffi brand launched last year, those to record the best performances were not surprisingly 100% plant-based : pesto with tofu, soya ragù and vegetable juice,” as revealed in a statement issued by the company. Products that, in addition to confirming their leading role in 2015 as well, are innovative even with regard to the packaging: in the fresh sauce sector, Formec Biffi is in fact the first company to make 100% recyclable packaging, complete with resealable caps in order to fight waste.
