In 2003, a state of the art production facility was established in Custonaci (near Trapani). Here it operates an experimental mill with technology that is beyond compare anywhere else in the world with the capability of working simultaneously on 4 different crushers. The Oleifici Manfredi Barbera & Figli products are distributed in over 50 countries across five continents. In addition to its own flagship products, the company also produces private label olive oil thanks to a bottling capacity exceeding 3 million liters of extra virgin olive oil a month.

CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE OLIVE OIL PRODUCTION PROCESS – The olive oil production process is monitored very closely. Premiati Oleifici Barbera rigorously selects the olive tree cultivation areas and takes exceptional care of raw material processing allowing the company to produce unmatched certified olive oil from various designation of origin areas. Premiati Oleifici Barbera has identified more than ten areas in Sicily producing local olive varieties. The company verifies and monitors the cultivation through the full production cycle and it is the only olive oils Sicilian producer to produce and bottle all the following designations of origin:

PROVISION OF THE BEST OLIVES – The company leverages the CO.FI.OL. (Olive Oil Consortium established in 2011) for the supply of olives where the consortium actively promotes the expansion of organic olive farming, the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) products and the recently established PGI Sicilian extra virgin olive oil. The goal is to develop the Sicilian Olive Oil industry by increasing awareness and recognition of Sicilian olive oil and leveraging synergies by working together with the stakeholders involved.
