Farmo is an Italian leading company in the “gluten-free” market sector and one of the main producers in the “gluten-free pasta” sector. Thanks to its production in the factories, located in Casorezzo (in the province of Milan, Lombardy), the company offers a wide range of products in the following categories: Pasta, Baked Products, and Special Flour Mixes. Farmo has had an exponential growth in the global market, especially in the American and the Canadian markets, becoming an important reference point both for professional operators and final customers. The company has recently approached Eastern markets, attending the important Trade Fair Food Hospitality World, held in China. Farmo decided to focus on quality and on the value of Made in Italy products, which is well-known all over the world. The reason for this success lies in the choice of intensively investing in the research & development sector (about 6% of the company’s gross revenue), in order to offer new, high-quality products.

FULL GLUTEN-FREE PRODUCT RANGE – In 2016, the company decided to build the new factory, FarmoNext, in order to cover the growing demand of its products worldwide. Tangible evidence of the success of Farmo dietetic products.
Now the production is going to range from the most common corn and rice pasta to the most elaborate types of pasta with whole grains (e.g. whole rice), including different types of pasta with the addition of ancient grains such as quinoa and amaranth. A full product range for those who have to follow a gluten-free diet, but also for those who want to stay healthy: during the manufacturing process, when it is possible, the company does not use any emulsifiers in order to preserve the natural properties of pasta. Therefore, this is Farmo’s purpose, “Pasta,” as Remo Giai, President of Farmo, explains, “made of legumes, is marking an important market trend, thanks to its high supply of vegetable protein (24% of protein in pasta) as an alternative to animal protein.

FOCUS ON THE SERVICE  – In addition to this healthy approach, Farmo is also focusing on another trend: customers who want food with a high level of service. Particularly visible on the International level, this trend is also growing in Italy. We have created Easy Pasta, which is highly successful internationally, in order to meet our customers’ needs. Easy Pasta is a new food concept: whole rice pasta and dehydrated sauce can be found in the same package and the dish is ready in just 8 minutes – says Remo Giai.
