The Italian confectionery titan Ferrero Group is intensifying its strategic push into the North American market through its largest single marketing initiative to date: a dedicated $50 million investment package designed to anchor the company’s 2027 sports and cultural strategy across the United States.

This capital allocation builds upon a $100 million outlay deployed in the spring of 2026—which featured a flagship FIFA World Cup partnership fronted by legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady—bringing the group’s aggregate budget for major U.S. event engagements to $150 million.

Central to this financial commitment is the company’s presence at Super Bowl LXI, scheduled for February 14, 2027. Ferrero confirmed that it will air commercials for two core products during the championship broadcast: Kinder Bueno and, for the first time in the brand’s history on the Big Game stage, flagship hazelnut spread Nutella.

The dual-spot commitment represents an evolution of Ferrero’s media strategy following its Super Bowl debut earlier this year. That campaign, an outer space-themed spot for Kinder Bueno, catalyzed a 140% year-over-year surge in volume sales within the United States market.

Similarly, Nutella has experienced notable momentum following high-profile commercial visibility tied to the Artemis II space mission. Online search queries for Nutella surged 60.7% following the mission exposure, driving a 20% increase in sales on Amazon and accelerating the market introduction of Nutella Peanut, a product tailored specifically to North American consumer preferences.

“Ferrero is continuing to bet big on sports and doubling its Super Bowl investments in a shift that signals a fundamental change in how the Italian conglomerate is positioning itself in the U.S.,” the company stated.

Ferrero’s expanding footprint in the United States currently encompasses more than 5,400 employees, 15 manufacturing and processing facilities, and a diversified brand portfolio combining legacy international labels such as Ferrero Rocher and Tic Tac alongside acquired domestic mainstays including Butterfinger and Keebler.
