What makes “italianità”—that sense of Italian identity—so intangible yet instantly recognizable around the world? Lavazza’s 2026 Calendar continues the global narrative launched with the “Pleasure Makes Us Human” campaign, exploring the blend of elements that make the Italian lifestyle so distinctive.
To bring this vision to life, Lavazza entrusted the creative direction to long-standing partner Armando Testa and to Alex Webb, the celebrated Magnum Photos photographer known for his original approach to street photography, rich chromatic sensitivity, and impeccable compositional instinct.
For the first time, Lavazza will present its Calendar at Art Basel Miami Beach, one of the world’s most influential fairs for modern and contemporary art—a landmark event for gallerists, collectors, and art enthusiasts from across the globe.
“We are extremely proud to be the Official Partner of Art Basel Miami Beach and to participate in this unique moment where we can share our long relationship with the world of art and photography,” said Francesca Lavazza, Board Member of the Lavazza Group. She added, “Contemporary art represents a universal language capable of connecting sensibilities, cultures, and generations in every corner of the world. Through its many expressions, it invites us to reflect on the complexity of the present, celebrating its beauty while revealing its contradictions. Lavazza, always committed to promoting culture, has woven vision and social responsibility into a path that elevates art as a tool for dialogue and transformation. In this context, participating in Art Basel Miami Beach marks a significant step in our commitment to supporting and celebrating creativity.”
For the new Calendar, Webb created a personal “Grand Tour” across evocative Italian locations, shaping a warm, intense, and sophisticated visual narrative—far removed from cliché. The “Pleasure Makes Us Human” concept runs through each photograph, blending real-life observation with subtle references to cinema, photography, and painting. The result is an elegant and ironic translation of the everyday nuances that define “living all’italiana.”
Through Webb’s lens, Lavazza’s 2026 Calendar becomes more than a visual project—it is a contemporary exploration of identity, culture, and pleasure, in all their authentic shades.
