For the ninth consecutive year, Vicenzovo by Matilde Vicenzi has been named the official savoiardo (ladyfinger) of the Tiramisù World Cup, the competition celebrating Italy’s most cherished dessert. The event will take place from 10 to 12 October in Treviso, the birthplace of tiramisu.
This year’s partnership is particularly meaningful: as Italy’s confectionery group Vicenzi marks its 120th anniversary, it inaugurates a new award — the “Vicenzovo d’Oro” (Golden Vicenzovo) — dedicated to the best tiramisu in the classic recipe category. The accolade will go to the contestant who most faithfully and deliciously recreates the original tiramisu using typical savoiardi named Vicenzovo.
“Vicenzovo and tiramisu have always shared a sweet and symbolic bond — a union that represents Italian confectionery excellence around the world,” says Elena Personi Musola, head of marketing and communications at the Vicenzi Group. “Celebrating Matilde Vicenzi’s 120th anniversary is a milestone for us. Among the many initiatives marking this special year is the launch of what we hope will become a tradition at the Tiramisù World Cup: the Vicenzovo d’Oro award — a tribute to the quality, tradition, and passion that have defined us for over a century. For the ninth year running, we are proud to renew our partnership with the Tiramisù World Cup, an international celebration of the world’s favorite dessert. This year, our collaboration gains new significance through this award — a moment of joy and sharing open to all.”
The Vicenzovo d’Oro will be presented during the grand final of the Tiramisù World Cup 2025, a global symbol of Italian craftsmanship and quality. It will be a celebration of Italian identity — and of a story more than a century in the making, told spoonful by spoonful.
At the 2025 Tiramisù World Cup, which honors both the classic and creative versions of the dessert, Vicenzovo once again stands as the essential ingredient for anyone seeking to respect the tradition of Italy’s true dolce.
