Italian dairy group Fattorie Garofalo has received two distinctions at the 2025 International Cheese and Dairy Awards, one of the sector’s oldest and most respected global competitions. The company’s Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO, part of its “Latte delle nostre fattorie” range, was awarded first place in the “Best Italian Cheese – Italian Traditional Mozzarella” category, and third in “Buffalo Milk Cheese – Soft or Hard”.

The awards were conferred following a competition involving more than 5,500 cheeses from around the world, evaluated by an international jury of 250 industry specialists. The recognition marks a significant endorsement of Fattorie Garofalo’s vertically integrated and sustainability-driven production model. The company operates a closed-loop supply chain focused on high-quality raw materials, animal welfare, and traceability—principles that underpin each stage of its farm-to-table process.

Launched to highlight this controlled and short supply chain, the “Latte delle nostre fattorie” line uses milk sourced exclusively from the company’s own buffalo farms. The milk is processed within 24 hours of collection, a practice aimed at preserving its freshness, flavour profile, and nutritional integrity.

By combining traditional techniques of immediate milk processing with modern production technologies, Fattorie Garofalo delivers a mozzarella in which freshness is not only preserved, but elevated as the defining characteristic from the very first taste.
