Olivieri 1882 Joins Bauli Group

Italy’s Bauli Group has acquired a majority stake in Olivieri 1882, the artisanal pastry company founded in 1882 in Arzignano, northern Italy, marking a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the premium baked goods sector.

Still led by fifth-generation family members Nicola and Andrea Olivieri, the brand has built a reputation for high-end leavened products and a strong digital presence. Its production process, certified by the University of Padua, allows for scalability without compromising artisanal quality, positioning Olivieri 1882 as a rare blend of tradition and modernity in Italian patisserie.

This partnership with Bauli is a strategic choice rooted in shared values and long-term vision,” said Nicola Olivieri, CEO of Olivieri 1882. “Their expertise in R&D and global operations offers us the infrastructure to scale, while preserving the craftsmanship that defines us.”

Bauli, a major player in the Italian bakery market, said the investment aims to support Olivieri’s international expansion, without diluting its artisanal identity. “We’re not here to change Olivieri 1882, but to help it grow,” said Bauli CEO Fabio Di Giammarco. “This partnership combines Bauli’s industrial strength with Olivieri’s agility and brand vision. Together, we aim to take Italian pastry to the global stage.”
