Planet Farms expands into Switzerland, launching three salad products (Mix Vivace, Mix Delicato, and Misticanza) in over 540 Coop Switzerland stores across more than 350 cities.
The expansion
The company leveraged its new Cirimido plant to enter the Swiss market, and CEO Mara Valsecchi highlighted plans for further international growth, including upcoming partnerships with UK retailers and a new vertical farm in London set to begin production in 2026. The company also anticipates entering the Dutch market soon. This strategic move follows the company’s existing presence in Italian retail and food service channels, demonstrating the commitment to expanding its vertical farming operations internationally.

Valsecchi states, “We’re excited to introduce Planet Farms products to Switzerland’s leading retail operator. Our new Cirimido plant was instrumental in launching this Coop Switzerland collaboration”. She adds, “We’re confident our salads’ freshness and unique flavor will resonate with the Swiss market’s discerning consumers who value authentic, premium ingredients. We’re not stopping here—we’ll soon finalize agreements with leading UK retailers, serving them through our London vertical farm, which begins construction in 2025 and production in 2026. Additionally, we’re preparing to export to the Dutch market.”
