The first international congress dedicated to Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO will take place in Naples on September 24th and 25th. The “First International Conference on Buffalo Mozzarella and Milk Products” will bring together institutions, researchers, businesses, and industry professionals from around the world.
The event aims to assess the current state of the industry and address future challenges on a global scale, showcasing recent innovations and key developments in the dairy sector. Experts from diverse regions—including India, the USA, Europe, and New Zealand—are expected to attend.
Organized by the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO Protection Consortium and the University of Naples “Federico II”, the conference is part of the university’s 800th-anniversary celebrations.
The conference will feature three main sessions: livestock management, production techniques, and economics, exploring how these elements intersect within the dairy industry. The goal is to foster broader and more productive international collaboration. The conference will also set the stage for the “World Buffalo Congress,” which Italy will host again in 2026, after a 26-year gap, with Naples as the venue.
