Sial Paris celebrates 60 years

Marking its 60th edition, Sial Paris, the biennial international exhibition for Food & Beverage professionals, will celebrate this milestone with a new edition in Paris from October 19 to 23, 2024.

SIAL PARIS 2024 BY THE NUMBERS

Building on the success of Sial 2022, the upcoming trade show promises impressive numbers. This was stated by Audrey Ashworth, Sial Paris Director, during the presentation event held on June 26 at the Italian Packaging Institute headquarters in Milan.

For the next edition of Sial, the expectations include:

  • Approximately 7,500 exhibitors
  • Over 130 participating nations
  • Around 285,000 visitors over the five days of the fair
  • About 400,000 featured food and beverage products presented by companies
  • More than 250 startups

Once again, Italy will top the list for the number of exhibitors, having secured 17,498 square meters of exhibition space. In 2022, Italy boasted 777 exhibitors and attracted 3,332 visitors. All indications suggest these figures will be comfortably surpassed in the upcoming October edition.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The 60th edition of Sial will center on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), reflecting the urgent need for solutions that respect both people and the environment to ensure a sustainable future for the sector and drive change.

Innovation and excellence in social and environmental responsibility will be the focus of one of the three ‘new awards’ to be presented within the framework of Sial Innovation. Among 1,800 expected product entries, awards will be given for CSR, country-specific achievements, and special recognition for the 60th anniversary.

A new feature for the upcoming event will be the four Sial Summits, forums for debate and discussion where international speakers will inspire the audience with forward-looking content on the future of Food & Beverage. The topics on the agenda include Deep Tech and AI, Supply Chain, CSR, and the African market.
