After a robust 30% year-on-year growth in 2022, Prosciutto di Carpegna PDO, a distinguished offering from the charcuterie of the Marche region crafted in ham facilities under the ownership of the Beretta Group, navigates through the conclusion of 2023. The year presented many challenges stemming from escalating prices and an overall difficult economic landscape. Preliminary figures for 2023 indicate a production nearing 700,000 kilograms, translating to a turnover of 11 million euros. On the whole, the current year is poised to conclude with marginally improved metrics compared to 2022.

EXPORT AMBITIONS IN 2024

The producers’ ambition is to fuel export growth in 2024, with a keen focus on the United States and Australia. In 2023, Prosciutto di Carpegna PDO achieved significant sales success, securing new clientele both domestically and internationally. Exports presently constitute approximately 9% of the overall revenue.
