The first shipment of Italian apples has arrived in Taiwan, following the opening of the market by the Taiwanese authorities on October 31, 2020. This result took more than three years to be achieved, and the constant and coordinated work of the Italian institutions in Taiwan, together with Italy’s apple growers association Assomela and the Italian Ministry of Agriculture.

A first load of 20 tons of Italian apples – Evelina variety – has recently been transferred to the warehouses and refrigerators of the local importer involved in the agreement. The Italian Trade Agency of Taipei issued a press release to the local media in order to highlight the entry of the new Italian fruit and vegetable products on the Taiwanese market and win the curiosity of local consumers.
