Italy’s dairy group Granarolo has sold Pandea to Morato Pane. Pandea is an Italian company specializing in the production and marketing of bakery products, both classic and gluten free. Pandea, which has been operating in Parma since 1946, was acquired by Granarolo at the end of 2016. Pandea recorded a 2019 turnover of 12 million euros, more than 10 million of which coming from exports – particularly from France and the UK.

“This acquisition – says Gianpiero Calzolari, president of Granarolo Group – is part of our new industrial plan aimed at concentrating efforts on our core business: the dairy market, in Italy and abroad. We are pleased with this operation under the sign of Italian continuity of ownership. Moreover, Morato Pane is an excellence in the bakery market and that, just like Granarolo, works a lot on foreign markets.”
“For us, this important acquisition – declares Stefano Maza, CEO of the Morato Group – is a further opening to the development of our international business, which today already amounts to over 30% of our total turnover.”
