Italian Food boasts three key assets in order to establish itself as a major player in the most value-added arena of new global eating habits. They are gratification, quality and genuineness.
This is why we decided to organise the awarding ceremony of the Italian Food Awards during the first digital edition of the ItalianFood.net SUMMIT 2020, which will feature some of the main international professionals (retailers, importers, restaurateurs) who will discuss the role of Italian F&B in the “new normal” era.
THE ITALIANFOOD.NET SUMMIT 2020 IN DETAILS
Massimo Fabio, Partner at KPMG Tax & Legal, will get the webinar off the mark by giving us an update on food law regulations & duties, followed by Jason Martinolich, Rouses Market VP of Center Store, who will drill down on the notion of Store Brands and whether they can represent an interesting business opportunity for the growth of Italian food in US retail.
Remaining on the other side of the Pond, we will then be treated to having an icon of the Italian cuisine in New York as a guest speaker. Fabrizio Facchini, Chef & Restaurateur, Board Member, Association Italian Chef New York (AICNY), will give us a glimpse at some new projects for the restart, including the opening of a store of authentic Italian products at affordable prices.
Tommaso Ferrazzoli and Vanessa Cinelli of Universal Marketing – the company that organizes the Italian participation of companies, organizations and associations to the most important international trade fairs reserved to specialized operators – will tell us about the projects for 2021.
Finally, in consideration of the central role of the European market, which represents the main destination of Italian F&B exports, we will hear from two top importers/ distributors: Christian Seifert, Managing Director Genuport and Johan Spriensma, Marketing & Sales, BrandM BV. Together with them, we will explore the assortment strategies of German and Dutch retailers and how they are treating Italian food.
