A brand new gelato taste has been made in New York City, and it speaks Italian twice. In fact, it is made with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI. Silky in texture and mildly acidic, this limited-edition flavor dazzles the palate and tastes especially refreshing in summer.

After maturing for a minimum of 60 days in wooden vats, this tart Modenese classic gets folded into cool and creamy gelato. According to lacucinaitaliana.com media, the result is slightly floral and tangy with a sweetened aftertaste.

BALSAMIC VINEGAR GELATO AND WHERE TO FIND IT

Those lucky enough to try this delicacy must visit Il Laboratorio del Gelato, a New York City wholesaler with shops in the Lower East Side and Greenwich Village.

The flavor is available until Monday, September 7. This new gelato taste was made possible thanks to a campaign by the Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI protection Consortium.
