Cibus 2020 trade show is confirmed. Fiere di Parma stated that it fully shares “the health preventive measures taken by the Italian Government and the Emilia-Romagna Region to fight against the spread of the Covid-19 virus, so much so that it has already arranged for the ‘Mercanteinfiera’ event to be moved from March to April. But still, it intends to give a signal of confidence and optimism by confirming Cibus 2020 next May” also following the announcement of the regular running of Vinitaly next April.
The food production sector is one of the few ones in Italy which recorded a growth, by 3%, in 2019. According to the CEO of Fiere di Parma, Antonio Cellie, it “may be an important factor for the economic recovery of Italy, all the more so after the slowdown caused by the coronavirus emergency. The food and wine sector will once again be the driver for the recovery of the Italian economy”.
