At TuttoFood 2019, Italianfood.net hosted an event in which a delegation of 40 Canadian buyers took part, together with Italian Trade Agency Commissioner for Canada Matteo Picariello. “The delegation is particularly big as we have big programs to support Italian food and beverage products in Canada” Picariello said in this interview with Italianfood.net. The goal of Italian Trade Agency in North America is therefore to “work together with retailers, in order to bring Italian products to every consumer, and not only to big cities and big supply chains.”
“Italian food companies and products are known for quality and authenticity” said Marketing Manager of Urban Fare, Nash Untley, “and consumers are more and more “craving regional authentic food experiences.”
“I traveled the world beyond, and my belief is that the best food comes from Italy” added Frank Grande from Grande Sales & Marketing. “What we bring out to the consumer, thanks to Italian food, is not only quality but also values.”
“Cornering is something we want to do soon in our stores, and I think we will start with Italian food” said Larry Noble, Category manager from Federated Co-Op Ltd. “Pasta, olive oil, sauces are the most loved Italian products categories in our stores.”
