EXPORTS GOALS FOR SALUMI PIACENTINI PDO
The increase compared to 2017 was therefore significant, with a total production of 598,751 kg for Salame Piacentino PDO, 692,788 kg for Coppa Piacentina PDO and 590,368 kg for Pancetta Piacentina PDO. The next goal for the Salumi Piacentini PDO’s protection Consortium will be to expand exports to Germany and France. This Consortium houses a real jewel of the Italian delicatessen production, as it is the only one which can boast three protected designation of origin products. Although relatively small, the Consortium has managed to stand out and be known for its excellent Made in Italy cold cuts.
