A tactical investment for the Massimo Zanetti Beverage group (MZB), which has announced its intention to buy a 25.1% stake in the Canadian Club Coffee for 25.1 million Canadian dollars (17.5 million euro) through its American subsidiary. The transaction is aimed not only at increasing its presence in the Canadian market, but will also take advantage of its PurPod100 technology, developed by the acquired company, a100% biodegradable single-dose capsules for hot drinks. A product which close to those consumers who care about recycling coffee and tea capsules, that the Italian group will use in the United States from January 2016, under the brand owned by Hills Bros.
