Ponti, leader in Italian industrial vinegars, is among the flagships of made in Italy at Expo 2015. Record holder in almost all segments in Europe, the company from Ghemme (Novara) is focusing more and more on internationalization and aims to double its export turnover – which now accounts for around 25% – within five years. “We are at Expo as exclusivists in the Coop Italy supermarket of the future – says Giacomo Ponti, eco of Ponti. We supply the Italia del Gusto restaurant and the dressing station where customers can serve themselves at the dedicated islands. Expo is a great showcase for Italy and for the end consumer, and we are present all over in many qualified and strategic points, such as the organic supermarket.” The presence at Expo heightens the export orientation which is already active in some seventy countries around Europe, the Far East and Australia. The company is also involved in expanding the use vinegar in new areas new for the product: the recent entry in the UAE (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) and in other areas of the Middle East has been possible thanks to the fact that Ponti chose the halal and kosher certification strategy for some of its productions.
