The MangiarsanoGerminal products are out to conquer the Chinese market. Manufacturer of organic, functional and health foods, it is the first European company to have obtained, after a long and complex process, the prestigious Republic of China’s certification for processed organic products from the Organic Food Development Center, one of the main control bodies in China and adopted by the Environment Ministry.
The Venetian company can now market the BioJunior line of baby products in the Asian market. The line includes pasta, cookies and creams for children, which have all been awarded the OFDC certification and are dedicated to pediatric nutrition. This important document, issued by the Chinese OFDC, certifies the BioJunior line as organic according to the high quality standards required by Chinese law, which since 2005 also has a national logo for the protection of organic products.
“The organic market in China is growing rapidly and the demand for organic food in this country is increasing day by day. – explains Elisa Zamperoni, export sales & private label manager of the MangiarsanoGerminal Group – The process to obtain the Organic certification for China was long and laborious and only after the plant visit by an inspector and numerous analyzes of both crops of products, were we granted the certification.”
This certification confirms MangiarsanoGerminal among the first European players active in organic babyfood in the Chinese market. The company has been at the major tradefairs in Asia for several years and has a strong knowledge of the local market, but only recently has it implemented a strategy to follow the healthy organic branch, in order to develop recipes and formulations that are able to meet the specific requests of the Chinese consumer.
