Fresh and elegant sparkling wine, characterized by refined bubbles and fruity notes, the Prosecco Superiore, which is produced in the historic area of the beautiful hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, continues the promotion of the Denomination abroad and the first week of June will meet the Canadian wine operators.
On June 2nd, a workshop addressed to buyers, journalists and a selected public will be held in Winnipeg, in the province of Manitoba. The day after the tour will move to Calgary, in the province of Alberta, and on June 5th it will arrive in Vancouver.
This initiative is part of the project “L’essenza del Veneto in un bicchiere” (“The Essence of Veneto in a glass”), which aims at promoting the wines from Veneto in the world and involves the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Consortium and Valpolicella Wines Consortium. Eight wineries of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area will take part in these meetings B2B: Astoria, Colli del Soligo, Colvendrà, Conte Collalto, Sorelle Bronca, Tenuta degli Ultimi, Val d’Oca and Valdo.
Canada represents one of the reference markets of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, with a market share of 7.9 million euros. Among the key markets of this Pod, Canada has registered the best performances of growth in volume in the short period, getting +77,9% in comparison with 2011.
