This year the Italian food companies’ Consortium ‘Italia del Gusto’ attended the Sial China trade show in Shanghai for the forst time. Italianfood.net interviewed the Consortium’s Director Alberto Volpe to discover how the companies forming the Consortium have been welcomed by Asian buyers and professional. Among the Italian companies that are part of Italia del Gusto we can find, among others, preserves companies such as Conserve Italia and snacks companies like Amica Chips.
Sandra Sangiulo, responsible for the Marketing department of Conserve Italia told us that the group is already present in China as far as the world renown Cirio brand is concerned. “We attended the trade show to look for new distributors and markets for our other brands, such as Valfrutta” – said Sangiulo.
Amica Chips, the leading Italian company specializing in snacks, attended Sial China trade show in Shanghai for the first time this year displaying its wide products range. Italianfood.net interviewed Export manager Sonia Tragaioli who underlined how much the company “is growing in the Asian markets. We see a great potential in China, and we wanted to meet buyers also here in Shanghai”.
