The Italian company Roncadin, a global leader in premium frozen and chilled pizza production, has unveiled an ambitious three-year strategic plan aimed at reaching 500 million euros in revenue. Led by CEO Dario Roncadin, the group is committing over 80 million euros to capital investments across Italy and the United States, further cementing its position as a key partner for international retailers and the foodservice industry.
Global scaling and strategic growth
With more than 85% of its total revenue generated outside of Italy, the expansion is essential to meet surging demand. The US market, which currently accounts for 30% of total sales, is a central pillar of this growth. In Chicago, the firm is investing 22 million euros in a second production line, expected to be fully operational by 2028, reaching a total capacity of 50 million pizzas per year.

Investing in Italian excellence
At the Meduno (Pordenone, Friuli) headquarters, 50 million euros will be dedicated to a major factory expansion. A new production wing will increase capacity to 140 million units by 2027, with a second line arriving in 2028 to push output to 160 million pizzas. This initiative is expected to generate approximately 200 new jobs. Furthermore, the group is expanding its gourmet RoncaLab portfolio, with 5 million euros invested in a new facility in Caorle (Venice) to specialize in pizza snack production for the foodservice market.

Strengthening commercial leadership
To navigate this next phase of development, Roncadin has appointed Thomas Schulz as Senior Commercial Advisor. Bringing extensive experience from the Freiberger Group, Schulz will work closely with the management team to optimize commercial processes and international strategy. This move complements the company’s commitment to sustainability, highlighted by the recent expansion of its photovoltaic system in Meduno, which now covers 30% of the facility’s energy needs. As a certified B Corp, Roncadin continues to prove that industrial growth and social responsibility go hand in hand.
