The enduring resilience of premium Italian specialty foods is taking center stage at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2026 in New York. In this exclusive interview, the third-generation leadership of Philadelphia’s iconic Di Bruno Bros. charts the company’s remarkable evolution from a single 1939 storefront in South Philly’s Italian Market into a high-growth consumer packaged goods brand.

Driven by strategic portfolio diversification, Di Bruno Bros. successfully commercialized its legacy 1960s cheese spread recipes for modern retail before scaling its import footprint. Today, the company manages a robust supply chain moving 120 to 140 containers annually from Abruzzo, Italy—supplying authentic crostini, taralli, olive oils, and grissini to a nationwide audience through major distributors like UNFI, KeHE, and Chef’s Warehouse.
