Speaking to Italianfood.net at PLMA 2026 in Amsterdam, Giorgio Regnoli, CEO of Cesare Regnoli, emphasized the company’s position as a premier private label partner in the seafood appetisers and ready meals sector. Through its historic Medusa brand as well as custom private label projects, the company continues to foster international retail relationships by introducing fresh product concepts and traditional Italian recipes adapted for modern logistics.

A major driver of the company’s recent international success is its innovative fried seafood range, highlighted by fritto misto—the classic Italian fried seafood mix—and small fried fishes, which have already gained strong traction in France. To support expansion into new markets like Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, the group has optimized its production to achieve an impressive 26-day shelf life. This extended freshness provides a highly competitive advantage for European retailers, ensuring consistent on-shelf performance while significantly reducing food waste. Looking ahead, the company confirmed its upcoming participation at SIAL Paris later this year to continue its aggressive export push into 2027.
