Gianmarco Laviola Appointed New CEO of Salov Group

Salov Group, a global leader in the olive oil industry and owner of the renowned Italian brands Filippo Berio and Sagra, has appointed Gianmarco Laviola (pictured) as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Laviola, 53, a graduate in Business Administration from Milan’s Bocconi University, brings extensive international experience in the food and beverage sector. His career includes senior roles at KPMG, Unilever, and AnheuserBusch, where he oversaw the Budweiser business in Italy and across the Mediterranean. He later led Mareblu for Thailand’s Thai Union Group PCL, followed by heading the Simmenthal division for Bolton Food. Before joining Salov, Laviola was CEO of Princes Italia.

With this leadership appointment, Salov aims to further cement its position as a dominant force in the international and Italian markets, with a particular focus on enhancing the value of its flagship brand, Filippo Berio. With a legacy spanning over 150 years, Filippo Berio is present in more than 70 countries and ranks among the top sellers of extra virgin olive oil in markets such as the U.S., U.K., Belgium, Switzerland, and Hong Kong.
