Riccardo Deserti, Vice President of Origin Italia, says, “Global platforms represent the new commercial dimension of Italian high-quality products. They are also the main place of knowledge for consumers all over the world. Online protection and European bilateral agreements are fundamental for the growth of our PDO and PGI products. The role of the Protection Consortia will also be important, as they will be able to collaborate in close contact with the inspectors of the Ministry to report any violations of intellectual property rights, as well as unfair practices related to the information on food”.
