Coronavirus, Alimentaria and PLMA have been postponed

Fira de Barcelona, Alimentaria – the Spanish food festival scheduled from 20 to 23 April in Barcelona – has been postponed to September, from 14 to 17. The decision of the trade fair body, as a consequence of the ongoing coronavirus health emergency, is aimed at “ensuring the necessary precautions for exhibitors and visitors”.

Constantí Serrallonga, General manager of Fira de Barcelona, explains that “The postponement of the event is the only change made. The space and format of the exhibition will not be changed in order to safeguard what is an important international event”.

In light of the Netherlands government announcements prohibiting large events such as trade shows during the coronavirus crisis, PLMA’s 2020 “World of Private Label”, which was originally scheduled for 26-27 May this year, has been postponed to 2-3 December 2020 (Wednesday-Thursday) at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam.
