Italy at PLMA Chicago shows that less is more

The Italian food industry was again in the spotlight at the PLMA 2018 show in Chicago (November 11-13), presenting an extraordinarily rich assortment of natural, organic, and free-from products enriched with the great taste of Mediterranean cuisine. The Italian Pavilion, under the umbrella of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), hosted 62 companies with 80 stands in their food & beverage pavilion and eight stands in their non-food pavilion. Exports of Italian food to the United States increased 5% to 3.9 billion euros in 2017 over the previous year. Exports to Canada rose 6% to 0.8 billion euros. In the video above from the PLMA show, organizers and producers discuss with Italianfood.net the next big trends and opportunities in the US Private Label market.
