SIAL Group and Krista Exhibitions present SIAL Jakarta Interfood 2018, which will be held from 21 to 24 November 2018 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Indonesia. The fair comes as a collaboration between two strong powers in the food and beverage industry: SIAL Group, the world’s largest food exhibition network with 50 years of experience, and Interfood, the leading food and beverage exhibition in Indonesia running for 14 years now. Last year, the 17th International Exhibition of Food & Beverage products, ingredients, technology and services has concluded successfully welcoming nearly 42,000 visitors and more than 800 exhibitors from 33 countries participated in the event.
SIAL JAKARTA: A GATEWAY TO ASEAN
The exhibition is also an access gateway to Indonesia, the 4th largest country in the world. Indonesia is the 7th largest economy in the world, boasting 40% of the Asean GDP. The country grew over 5.5% in 2015, and by now it has a 250 million population, that is the largest Muslim population in the world. About 45 million are members of the consuming class, and they will be 135 million by 2030. Indonesia is characterized by a modern distribution expansion (15% value share today) and a growing penetration of premium products and offerings. Food and beverage spending will represent almost half of annual household spending in 2030.
