Italian Food Awards 2017: the champions of sustainability

The Italian Food Awards 2017 are designed to help international retail and foodservice operators discover the most creative and versatile authentic Italian products, that better respond to the emerging global top food trends. This year – during the third edition at Anuga 2017 – together with 12 ‘classic’ categories three special awards were assigned for packaging, innovation and sustainability. When it comes to the latter, the three finalists were: Fumagalli Animal Welfare by Fumagalli Industria Alimentari, Il grano di Armando – Il Fusillo by De Matteis Agroalimentare, and Sustainable 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Oleificio Zucchi.
