Dalter Group is looking abroad for further market development. The grated and portioned Parmigiano Reggiano packaging leader company is going ahead to enhance its presence in north american and scandinavian market. The group from Reggio Emilia will make use of its branches Dalter Usa Inc and Dalter Nordic.

Board chairman Stefano Riccotti explains how Dalter intends to expand. “Dalter products are subject to increasingly strict controls. Thus we can guarantee the highest quality level for the consumer. Last year we obtained the highest level of IFS and BRC international certifications”. Dalter Group has also managed considerable investments for its two cheese factories Caseificio Colline di Selvapiana e Canossa and Latteria Sociale del Cigarello, enforcing an original production chain model for Parmigiano Reggiano. Customer satisfaction is another essential target for Dalter Group. “We can guarantee a high level service to our customersRiccotti says – thanks to tailor made products, specific consultation and a new representative network committed to normal trade sales channel”.

ECONOMIC PERFORMANCESDalter will also take advantage of a very good economic performance in 2014 and 2015. Last year consolidated turnover reached 92 million euro, +5,7% compared with 2014. Holding company shows the best results: 38,2 million turnover, +15,4% in 2015. Sales volume is increasing too: 4.400 (+16%) cheese tons have been sold in 2015. As for business geography, 55% of Dalter turnover comes from abroad. The company is by now operating in 40 foreign countries, compared with 32 countries just one year ago. Best performances come up in Spain (+77,9%), Germany (+23,4%) and UK (+5,3%). Not to mention the outstanding performance in France (+37,5%), where a strong tradition in cheese production has built up a very competitive market.
