Middle East, the new Mecca for Italian food

Middle East is becoming the new Mecca for Italian food. Saudi Arabia is the market where Italian exports grew most in the first 10 months of 2015. The achievement of this result has been worked on since the early months of the year and there are sales that could end the year with up to 40% more than in 2014 and exceed 200 million euro.

UAE AND IRAN, GROWING MARKETS – Also the United Arab Emirates have delivered a dazzling performance which could end the year with a growth of 30% and exceed 250 million. These results confirm how strategic the Middle East is for our productions that adapt well to rigid Halal requirements. There are also optimistic expectations for Iran that has just emerged from sanctions having paralysed its commercial trade for decades. Italy is in pole position to become a major supplier in Tehran and its surroundings. This is a market being tangent to nearly 70 million people in a strategic position where it is advisable to immediately gain a strong foothold.
