Kölnmesse and the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA) confirm the strategic role of World of Food Beijing. Officially launched since November last year, the event has received positive response from all major food exporting nations.
World of Food Beijing was established to cater to the fast-growing market opportunities for imported food in north China. The inaugural edition will be held at the Beijing National Convention Center from 26th to 28th November, and will span 22,000 square meters in exhibition area, with more than 700 exhibitors expected from over 20 countries and regions. “Up to now, we have successfully invited organizations from a number of countries including Italy, Germany, the US, Spain, the UK, Austria, Australia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Poland and Ukraine to organize national pavilions. Currently, over 40% of the available areas have been sold”, said Michael Dreyer Vice President Asia Pacific Kölnmesse. During the event, CFNA will host parallel activities such as China International Meat Conference and Dairy Trade and Industry Development Forum. One of the main show highlights is the business-matching featuring a dedicated zone to host various sessions including business-matching for top buyers.
“We have good reason to believe that with the powerful combination of CFNA and Kölnmesse, and the strong support from Anuga in Cologne – quoted Michael Dreyer –, World of Food Beijing will be established as the leading food exhibition in northern China in no time”.
