Fattorie Garofalo is set to showcase its ambitious international growth strategy at SIAL Paris 2026, held from October 17th to 21st. With an established presence in 49 countries, the Italian dairy company aims to further penetrate the US market while opening new commercial routes across Japan and Southeast Asia. The group will be present at Hall 7 (stand E002) and at the Tradizione Italiana consortium area in Hall 1 (stand E025).

Strategic expansion and market consolidation

Currently, the group exports approximately 4,800 tons of buffalo-milk-based products, generating a turnover of 45 million euros. The strategy is twofold: strengthening brand presence in key European markets such as Germany, France, and the Benelux—with a specific focus on the foodservice and retail sectors—and aggressively targeting the Asian markets with innovative product solutions.

The role of frozen technology

To overcome logistical challenges in distant markets, Fattorie Garofalo is leveraging its advanced frozen range. This line, which includes Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO and 100% buffalo milk burrata, ensures that the authentic Italian taste and texture remain intact throughout long-haul distribution. The offering includes traditional packaging in brine and high-tech IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) options, which provide extended shelf lives of up to 545 days, catering to diverse needs within retail and industrial processing.

A vertically integrated powerhouse

Based in Capua (Campania), the company maintains a robust vertical integration model. With 13,900 buffaloes and 3,800 hectares of dedicated forage land, the group produces 9,000 tons of 100% buffalo cheese annually. As a leading PDO producer, Fattorie Garofalo combines traditional craftsmanship with modern environmental standards, including digital monitoring systems and a commitment to renewable energy, with 7,000 MW/H produced in 2025 through internal photovoltaic and biogas plants.
