The third edition of Vinitaly.USA, the prestigious B2B event organized by Veronafiere and the ITA – Italian Trade Agency, is set to take place on October 26-27, 2026, at Pier 36 in New York City. Following two successful editions in Chicago, this move represents a strategic evolution, designed to bridge the gap in the American market by connecting top-tier Italian producers with key national decision-makers.
A strategic hub for Italian excellence
New York City serves as the ideal gateway for this expansion. The region is home to a high concentration of importers, distributors with multi-state coverage, and major retail and foodservice groups. According to Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, the event aims to foster long-term relationships, keeping quality, content, and professional networking at its core. By being located in New York, the exhibition leverages the city’s unique ecosystem, which includes a high density of specialized press and influential opinion leaders.
Connecting producers with the US market
Matteo Zoppas, President of the Italian Trade Agency, emphasized the importance of this project, particularly in a delicate phase for the wine industry marked by currency fluctuations and shifting consumer behaviors. The profile of buyers active in New York is perfectly aligned with the premium positioning of Italian wine. Data confirms that 44% of high-spending consumers in the area purchase wine two to five times a week, with many preferring bottles priced above $30. Currently, Italian wines are a top consumer choice, second only to Californian options and surpassing French labels.
Beyond the trade show itself, this initiative is part of a broader strategy to support the Made in Italy identity. Through integrated promotional efforts, including collaborations with Vinitaly Tourism and SOL Expo for high-quality extra virgin olive oil, the project seeks to bolster the entire Italian supply chain, ensuring a strong, lasting presence in international markets.
