Ficacci Unveils Sustainable Export Drive at Anuga 2025

The Italian olive company, Ficacci, founded in 1964 and specializing in fresh, clean-label Greek and Italian olives, marked its 9th appearance at the Anuga 2025 trade show in Cologne with a major product launch. The firm is introducing an innovative line of olives packed in paper without brine or oil—a significant sustainability move for the industry. Currently exporting to over 40 countries, with the U.S. as its primary market, the company aims to boost its export share from its current 17-18% of overall turnover to 20% in the coming months, leveraging the fair and its success in the American market, where its non-pasteurized, refrigerated ‘fresh olives’ have rapidly gained traction against traditional jarred alternatives.
