Driven by consumer demand for short ingredient lists and clean labels, Italy’s premium spread sector is experiencing robust domestic and export growth. From organic pioneering to global retail expansion, four key players are shaping the category’s trajectory for 2026.
Achillea: Doubling Down on Organic Purity
Building on a 20% volume growth in the spreads segment in 2025 compared to 2024, Achillea reports 2026 performance aligned with these strong results. The brand’s momentum is anchored by its flagship 100% Hazelnut Cream—a 180-gram glass jar formulation containing exclusively organic roasted hazelnut paste, with zero added cocoa, oils, or sugars. “The year 2026 is developing in line with these results, supported by demand that favors essential, 100% natural products with short ingredient lists, in keeping with the company’s philosophy,” the company noted regarding its market performance. Achillea’s strategy centers on gradual expansion into select export markets while preserving the organic ethos established at its founding in 1980.

Agrisicilia: Bringing Coffee into the Daily Spread Category
Sicily-based Agrisicilia generated €17 million in total revenue in 2025, maintaining a stable export share of 30%, primarily across Germany, France, Poland, and Russia.
To complement traditional flavor profiles, the company launched ChocoCoffee (330g jar)—a cream blending cocoa powder (6%) and coffee (1%) designed for versatile consumption across breakfast and home dessert preparation. The product sits alongside CoffeeDream and PistiChoc (pistachio and cocoa) to target alternatives to standard mass-market spreads. “Versatility thus becomes the key differentiator for a product that brings the aroma of coffee out of the cup and into daily sweet consumption,” Agrisicilia highlighted regarding its product strategy.

Euro Company: Doubling Revenue via Nut’s Amore Abroad
Euro Company is expanding its global footprint through Nut’s Amore, an export-dedicated brand featuring over 40 SKUs leveraging the group’s nut processing expertise dating back to 1979. “According to the company, in recent years the brand’s turnover has substantially doubled year-on-year, accompanied by a significant increase in volumes,” Euro Company reported.

Key growth drivers include its Pure Creams line (zero added sugars, oils, salt, or additives) alongside fruit-and-nut blends like Hazelnut & Dates (80% roasted hazelnuts, 20% dates), Pistachio & Almond, Cashew & Coconut, and Almond & Mango. Packaged in premium 175–200g jars with multilingual labeling, Nut’s Amore is currently distributed across major retail chains in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, and Poland, with planned retailer expansion set for 2026.
Fiorentini Alimentari: Scaling Market Leadership Internationally
Fiorentini Alimentari closed 2025 with €135 million in total revenue, supported by a commanding 29.8% value market share in the Italian peanut butter segment (source: Circana data, year ending December 2025).

While exports currently represent 15% of total revenue across European markets, Australia, and Iceland, Fiorentini is leveraging high-protein claims and multi-format packaging—ranging from standard 350g and 500g jars to single-portion 4x20g multipacks and 100g pocket packs—to accelerate global peanut butter adoption. “To grow abroad, the company intends to increase brand awareness, promote the various usage occasions, and adapt innovation to local tastes,” management stated regarding its international roadmap.
