Italian fresh food specialist La Linea Verde has officially announced the rebranding of its Belgian subsidiary, BCS BV, which will now operate under the name La Linea Verde Benelux. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in the group’s ongoing international expansion, aiming to consolidate its industrial footprint across Europe and North America.

The transition follows the acquisition of the Belgian company by the Italian parent group, reinforcing a model based on local expertise and international scale. While the name has changed, the company maintains its core values, local competencies, and established brand portfolio, including the popular soup brand Butterfly and the gazpacho specialist García Millán.

A synergy of expertise

According to Domenico Battagliola, CEO of La Linea Verde, this evolution is more than a simple corporate name change; it is a concrete step in integrating local know-how with the group’s industrial innovation capacity. By leveraging the deep market understanding of the Belgian team alongside the technological prowess of the parent company, the group intends to launch new product concepts and expand its market reach throughout the Benelux region.

International growth strategy

The operation is part of a broader globalization strategy for the Italian firm, which currently generates approximately 50% of its total turnover on international markets. With a total turnover of 400 million euros in 2025 and a workforce of 1,900 employees, the group is rapidly evolving from a traditional Italian exporter into a major international fresh food player. The company continues to strengthen its presence in key markets, including Spain, Serbia, France, and Belgium, as well as its recent expansion into the North American market spanning Canada and the United States.

The move underscores the company’s commitment to maintaining its reputation as a key partner for major retail chains, offering high-quality solutions in the fresh produce category, from soups to ready-to-eat meals.
