Speaking to Italianfood.net at PLMA 2026 in Amsterdam, Stefano Berruto, CEO of Pasta Berruto, showcased how the historic Piedmont-based company seamlessly bridges its 145-year-old traditional heritage with modern consumer demands. Established in 1881, the family-led company has grown into a major manufacturing force in Italy, boasting a production capacity of over 300 tons per day across 10 specialized production lines.
While the group’s vast infrastructure allows it to cover the entire pasta spectrum—ranging from high-volume everyday private label basics to premium regional specialties—the main spotlight at this year’s show is on their expanding “pasta cups” range. This innovative line features pre-cooked pasta paired with authentic Italian sauces, offering global consumers a quick, ultra-convenient meal solution without compromising on true Italian flavor. Backed by its massive production capability, Pasta Berruto continues to strengthen its international footprint, exporting custom private label solutions and proprietary brands to over 100 countries across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, Asia, and Africa.
