Italy’s Nonno Nanni has acquired the French dairy group Italat France, strengthening its position in the highly competitive Rungis market in Paris—a key destination for restaurateurs, wholesalers, and specialty grocers in search of premium Italian products.

The acquisition aims to boost Nonno Nanni’s presence in France, increasing the Italian brand’s visibility and accessibility. It is a strategic play in the company’s broader ambition to expand its international footprint, bringing its distinctive Italian craftsmanship to a global audience.

We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Italat France, an important step in reinforcing our strategic position in the French and international markets,” said Silvia Lazzarin, President of Nonno Nanni. “This transaction enhances our growth potential and allows us to introduce our products to new markets, supported by Italat France’s established networks.”

The acquisition promises to unite two like-minded entities—each committed to Italian excellence—combining resources and expertise to unlock new opportunities for future growth.

Latteria Montello, owner of the Nonno Nanni brand, sought legal counsel from PwC TLS, with a team led by Partner Davide Frau and supported by attorneys Matteo Marciano, Riccardo Perlasca, and Andrea Doro. French legal compliance was managed by Lumieres-avocats, represented by Quentin-Alexandre Brigaud, and Stemm – Cabinet d’Avocats, with Anne Dureuil.
