Luigi Zàini wins an ISM Award the first for an Italian company

ISM, the most important trade show in Europe for the confectionery industry (Cologne, from January 30 to February 2, 2022) this year will give Luigi Zàini, owner of the company of the same name, the prestigious Award. It is the first time that an Italian confectionery company is awarded the ISM prize. The ceremony will take place on January 30, 2022, during the gala dinner.

Luigi Zàini comments, “I am honored for this recognition that I dedicate to all the people who have worked and work for our company, also as partners”.

Zàini is focused on the high quality of its products as well as on the constant search for innovative recipes that comply with the greater well-being of consumers. Consistent with its respect for equal opportunities, already expressed in the 1940s by Olga Zàini who led the company after the untimely death of her husband, Zàini has been supporting a female entrepreneurship project in the Ivory Coast since 2015.

With a 2021 turnover of 72 million, 200 employees, 3 production plants located in Senago and Milan, Luigi Zàini distributes its products in 80 countries all over the world.

Zàini confectionery has become part of the history of Italian chocolate also thanks to a widespread distribution since the first twenty years of the century. The blocks of dark chocolate Emilia, the Boeri, the little chocolate eggs with surprise, and the hundreds of varieties of pralines and candies that in more than a century have delighted the palate of Italians, are now distributed all over the world.

In the last decade, Zàini has started researching innovative products, both for adults and children. Products and brands of new conception, more and more oriented to the wellness of the consumer, are the basis of the product lines Choco & Fruit – dark chocolate dragèe with a fruit filling – and Crockki – made of single-serving spreadable cream and bites, recommended for children for its low sugar content and rich fiber intake. In 2021, two new dark and milk chocolate bars with no added sugar were also made.
