Caffarel, the Turin company founded in 1826 best known for inventing the “gianduiotto” by combining cocoa and roasted Piedmont hazelnuts, is looking to make the United States as its primary target market in 2018. 2017 was a very successful year for Caffarel, we grew by 25% versus 2016, and we created a lot of awareness in several strategic markets, thanks to very great execution, in-store execution, and also the new partners that we activated during the year, Caffarel Export Director Arnaldo Sommovigo told Italianfood.net. We have a very positive outlook also for 2018. Especially for the US, probably our first key target market for 2018, we have really strong plans, Sommovigo said at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco.
