Preparations are already beginning for Expo Dubai 2020. After 2015 Milan Expo’s success, Italy will be present in Dubai with its pavilion “Cibus è Italia”, made by Federalimentare and Fiere di Parma with an original concept. This was announced by the Italian Government delegation in the Arab Emirates. The mission was led by Italian Agricultural Policies Minister Maurizio Martina and Economic Development Undersecretary Ivan Scalfarotto. Mr. Martina confirmed Italy’s formal accession to Expo Dubai 2020, whose main focus will be “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Mr. Scalfarotto inaugurated Dubai Gulfood Manufacturing and the Italian pavilion at Speciality Food, the agri-food exhibition for food machinery, cooking equipment and food service industry that 180 Italian companies attended last week, in addition to 34 agri-food companies hosted in the ICE space.
Cibus has also supported the gala event for the advance launch of Expo Dubai 2020: the first ever “Worldwide Italian Cuisine Week”, which will take place from 21 to 27 November. Italian food products and traditional recipes will be in the spotlight in 1,300 events around the world.
