EVERYONE WANTS TO EAT ORGANIC – Gianpiero Calzolari, president of Granarolo Group, states: “Following a substantial increase in organic milk and dairy products demand (+20% in Italy in the last 12 months) in 2015 we managed to give our farmer the possibility to produce organic milk. According to our previsions, organic milk production is going to grow from current 20.000 tons to 50.000 tons. Granlatte farmers invested very much to start producing organic milk. Besides, organic milk is well paid compared with non organic milk, (+20 euro cent per litre in March 2016). Farmers who turn to organic get also a considerable economic aid from UE PSR (rural development program)”.
We hope – says Mr. Calzolariour new organic dairy product line Granarolo Biologico to excite much interest in consumers”.
