Mukky and Centrale del Latte Torino agree on merger

Centrale del Latte di Torino announced the merger with Centrale del latte di Firenze, Pistoia, Livorno (Mukky brand), hereby, the deal is signed in order to achieve a business combination, aimed at creating the third milk and dairy hub in Italy. Further to the merger, organised and managed by Borsa Italiana, Centrale del Latte di Torino will change its name to ‘Centrale del Latte d’Italia’.

Both companies are manufacturers in the dairy sector, producing and selling milk, yogurt, and fresh products. Therefore, the aim of the transaction is to create an inter-regional hub facility, specialising in the production and sale of milk and dairy products, bringing together local situations and brands.

As a result of the merger, Centrale del Latte Italia will take over all the legal rights and obligations of Mukky. And these rights and obligations, as a result of a subsequent separation operation, will be transferred into a new company, wholly owned by Centrale del Latte della Toscana, with registered and business headquarters in Florence.

Mukky has a net turnover of about 70 million euros and employs 173 workers in total. The transaction will be finalised through the merger by incorporation of Mukky into Centrale del Latte Torino, creating the new company, Centrale del Latte Italia, which has a goal: to become Italy’s third milk and dairy hub, with a leadership position in the Piemonte, Toscana, Liguria, and Veneto regions.
