SACE has signed a technical cooperation agreement with Banco de Chile to provide assistance in food export relationships.
Alessandro Castellano, managing director said that, “Chile is one of the markets with the most interesting growth potential”. Last year, Italy’s export sales to Chile came to about 869 million euro and starting from the end of 2015 the export rate increased 18% compared to the same period the previous year.
Under the agreement, SACE will offer Banco de Chile advice and training services on products, processes and risk assessment and management, with the aim of transferring to Chile the instruments and know-how necessary to sustain home companies in developing and implementing growth plans for export. It is foreseen that this will support development and competition of the country’s export companies through assistance programmes designed by SACE.
