In 2025, online sales of retail consumer goods will reach $130 billion. These are the updated Kantar Worldpanel forecast numbers from July. In the next decade, e-commerce will double its weight, reaching 30% in South Korea, 15% in China and at least a 10% in the UK and France. In 2014, global sales of consumer goods grew by 28%, particularly in the more developed markets, such as in the United Kingdom (+ 20%), and France (+ 12%). But the most significant growth rates come from Asia, with a + 34% increase, in China with 22% and in South Korea where e-commerce already makes up 13.2% of sales. A good reason for retailers to integrate fully in this channel.
